Pedestrian hit by train in Central El Paso

EL PASO, Texas-- One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after being struck by a train in Central El Paso. Police responded to a call at around 2:36 a.m. on Monday morning.

Police have not release the identity of the individual.

Officials say the person is expected to survive.
