Update (September 6, 2024): A spokesperson for the Third Judicial District Attorney in Dona Ana County says Carrillo was held without bond in district court today. She is charged with one count of First-Degree Murder and one count of Battery Against a Household Member.

"She has prior criminal history and was found to be extremely dangerous," the spokesperson alleged.

The spokesperson provided more details about the crime, saying that officers were called out "for disturbance with possible stab victim."

The spokesperson explains that the responding officers found Mata in the back bedroom with multiple stab wounds. Emergency crews rushed him to Mountain View Medical Center, where he died. His sister was also injured, receiving a cut to her hand and visible bruising on her face and body. She was also taken to the hospital. Officials say Mata's sister told police that Carrillo had beaten her.

Witnesses reportedly told police that they saw someone running away from the scene. They described her as being short and wearing a red hoodie.

"Carrillo was located utilizing the witness description," the spokesperson for the DA's office explained. "She had blood on her clothing and on her shoes with visible injuries to her hands. Further investigation revealed that Carrillo had been in a relationship with Mata’s sister. Police had been dispatched to multiple domestic incidents involving Carrillo and her partner, Mata’s sister."

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Las Cruces Police arrested 28-year-old Selena Carrillo and charged her with the murder of 30-year-old Michael Mata.

Police booked Carrillo into the Dona Ana County Detention Center. The reported stabbing death happened on the 1900 block of Buchanan Avenue this morning, police officials tell ABC-7.

Emergency crews rushed Mata to MountainView Regional Medical Center where he died of multiple stab wounds, police officials say.

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- Students at Del Valle High School this morning were evacuated due to a routine gas-line maintenance procedure. That is according to a Ysleta ISD spokesperson.

Out of an abundance of caution, staff evacuated the students from the Fine Arts area of the building after they detected the smell of gas just before 11 AM today.

The El Paso Fire Department and Texas Gas Service helped clear the building before allowing students and staff to return at around 11:45 AM. Classes then resumed as normal.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police Special Traffic Investigators say a 17-year-old El Paso boy was killed in a motorcycle crash on Alameda Wednesday night.

Police say a car was traveling east on Alameda at the same time 17-year-old Kevin Holguin and his passenger, an unidentified 20-year-old man from Mexico, were traveling west. Police investigators say a "T-Bone type collision" happened when the car tried to make a left turn.

Holguin and his passenger suffered serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital where they later died.

Police have not said who is at fault for the collision or if any charges could be filed in connection with the case.

El Paso Police officials say these are the 42nd and 43rd traffic fatalities of 2024, compared with 53 at this time last year.

Update (September 6, 2024): Special Traffic Investigators arrested 25-year-old Jorge Alexis Gamboa and charged him with intoxication manslaughter in connection with the crash.

"On August 22 of this year, Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Gamboa after the investigation determined he was responsible for the crash," El Paso Police Department officials explained today. "On September 3rd, he was booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility."

Gamboa was booked on a $240,000 bond.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - El Paso Police continue to investigate a crash involving several vehicles along I-10 West in east El Paso near Don Haskins Dr.

That's between George Dieter and Loop 375.

Police say a semi and van trailer were stopped on the emergency lane when two cars tried to merge into the same lane and crashed.

The collision caused the cars to spin around with one of the cars crashing into the rear of the semi.

Police say the driver of that car, 49-year-old El Paso resident Sandy Almanza, died as a result of the injuries from the impact.

Speed, alcohol, and unsafe lane change are contributing factors for this crash according to police.

This is the city's 38th traffic fatality for 2024, compared to 47 for the same time period last year.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Three teens were arrested for allegedly invading a home on the 400 block of South Mesa Hills.

The incident happened on July 14, 2024 at 9:19 PM. Officers were first called out on reports of a shooting, officials say.

"Upon arrival, officers found the victim with a gunshot wound to the abdomen," police officials explained Thursday. "He was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries."

The victim is identified only as being an 18-year-old male.

Police identify the 18-year-old suspect as Aiden Nathaniel Mosher. He was charged with burglary of a habitation with the intent to commit aggravated assault and aggravated robbery. The other two suspects, aged 16 and 15, have not been publicly identified because they are minors. They are facing the same charges as Mosher.

The U.S. Marshals Lone Star Task Force put Mosher under arrest on August 9, 2024 and booked him into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $150,000 bond.

The 16-year-old male suspect was taken into custody on August 27, 2024, police say. He was handed over to the Juvenile Probation Department.

The 15-year-old female suspect was arrested today and also handed over to the Juvenile Probation Department.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Officers charged 25-year-old Andrew Michael Poblano with Capias Attempt to Commit Burglary of Habitation.

Officials say that Poblano tried to steal from a house on the 4800 block of Tholos in Northeast El Paso on June 22, 2024 at 4:37 AM.

U.S. Marshals took Poblano into custody on August 26, 2024 and put him into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $15,000 bond.

Police officials tell ABC-7 that Poblano rang the victim's doorbell and started yelling at him. The victim fired a gun in self-defense, police say, injuring Poblano.

When officers arrived, they found Poblano bleeding in the middle of the street. He was taken to a local hospital to recover.

Update (September 5, 2024): Police just identified the person who died as 93-year-old Chihuahua resident Jesus Roman Villezcas Carrazco.

Police say that the red Mercedes was traveling east when it hit the back of the back of the mini van Villezcas was traveling in. Both cars hit concrete barriers then caught fire and Villezcas was unable to exit the car, police say. He died at the scene.

Police say the investigation into the crash is still ongoing.

This is this is the 40th traffic fatality this year, compared to 53 this time last year.

Gadsden ISD officials say that earlier today, parents who had not yet dropped off their children kept them home. Students who were already on buses or on campus stayed put.

Update (September 4, 2024): Police just identified the dead motorcyclist as 22-year-old Tyler Jonathan Reardon.

Special Traffic Investigators are still looking into the crash, officials say.

Police say Reardon was traveling on Transmountain in the left lane "at a high rate of speed" when he lost control and started riding against the curb. He went up onto the median and over the rock landscaping, police officials explain, before the motorcycle fell to its side and skid across the street. The motorcycle then crashed into the back of the car, which was stopped at a red light, investigators say.

Police say that Reardon, who was wearing a helmet, came off the motorcycle and died at the scene. The driver of the car was not injured.

"Speed is a contributing factor in this crash," a police spokesperson explained today. "This is the 41st traffic fatality this year compared to 53 at this time in 2023."

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police just arrested 26-year-old Elizabeth Olivia Chagra- Nichols in connection with a deadly April crash.

The collision, investigated by Special Traffic Investigators, happened in the early morning hours of April 14, 2024 on the 5700 block of Trowbridge.

Investigators say Chagra-Nichols' car was traveling south on Paisano when she ran a red light. Another car was traveling west on Trowbridge. The two vehicles collided and all occupants, Chagra-Nichols, her passenger, and the driver of the other car were all rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

Chagra-Nichols' passenger, 26-year-old Derek Omar Limon Sparks, died on six days later.

On August 23, 2024, Special Traffic Investigators took Chagra-Nichols into custody and charged her with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.

Police have not explained the four-month gap between Limon's death and Chagra-Nichols' arrest. ABC-7 is working to learn more.

Update (September 4, 2024): El Paso Police arrested Payne and charged him with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon before booking him into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $150,000 bond.

Police identify the victim as 37-year-old Jennifer Lynn Lambert.

Update: Marcus Anthony Payne is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The assault was domestic in nature.

Court documents obtained by ABC-7 disclose the victim's relationship to Payne.

Payne's mother told officers who responded to the domestic dispute that her son suffered from mental health issues. Court documents state that Payne told officers after the alleged assault that he had fought a "witch" with two swords.

The victim suffered numerous lacerations, a fractured skull, and a severed finger.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Emergency crews rushed a woman suffering from serious injuries to the hospital this morning.

Police officers found her on the 330 block of Tierra Mission in Far East El Paso at 6:13 this morning. They had been called out to the residential area on a welfare check, officials say.

Police have not yet identified the woman, describing her only as being in her "upper thirties."

One person is in custody at this time, police officials tell ABC-7.

El Paso Fire Department said it happened at 1213 E. Overland Ave. around 12:30 a.m.

Spokesperson Enrique Dueñas said there was no one inside the residence and no reported injuries.

He also states there was a partial collapse inside the home.

The fire did not spread to other homes in the area.

TORNILLO, Texas (KVIA) -- Emergency crews extracted two people from a car after a crash on I-10 West near mile marker 58 in Tornillo last night.

An El Paso County Sheriff's Office spokesperson says the extent of the people's injuries is currently unknown. They were rushed to a a hospital for evaluation, the spokesperson explained this morning.

The left lane of I-10 West near mile marker 58 will remain closed until further notice.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police arrested 27-year-old Devan Gallegos and charged him with one felony count of cruelty to an animal.

Police officials say that officers found Gallegos' dog with a chain collar cutting into its neck on July 16, 2024.

"The chain collar was removed and after treatment, the dog was released to the Humane Society of El Paso," police officials explained.

Officers booked Gallegos into the El Paso County Detention Facility on a $10,000 bond.

Update: In a news conference Thursday, U.S. Attorney General for the Western District of Texas Jaime Esparza, said 21 people with connections to the 'Chuco Tango' gang were arrested in a roundup spanning El Paso today.

Officials said the arrested individuals are suspected of serious drug and firearm offenses.

They are charged with possession, and intent to distribute cocaine, methamphetamine and fentanyl. 

The investigation was led by the DEA, FBI, and ATF, it started in November of 2023. 

After the arrests, FBI officials said they were processed at the El Paso County Coliseum.

While 21 were arrested, police say four fugitives remain at large. They are Jonathan Blanco, Jessica Rodarte, Carlos Flores, and Adriel Belmont.

Officials said some of the defendants in the operation were indicted both in federal and in state court.

"Regarding the charges of those that were apprehended today, several have been charged with felon in possession of a firearm. Some of these defendants, if convicted, will face up to 20 years in prison or five to 40 years in prison. Some will face from ten years to life in prison," said Jamie Esparza, U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Texas. "Others will have to serve a minimum of 15 years."

"The goal of this investigation is to impact violent crime in El Paso. While every agency here has its own roles, priorities and responsibilities. Fighting violent crime is the responsibility we all share," said Britton Boyd, FBI Acting Special Agent in Charge, El Paso.

The spokesperson says the officers tried to arrest a 39-year-old man on arrest warrants for robbery who then "brandished a weapon." At that time, the spokesperson says the "officers fired their weapons." The 39-year-old man, who police have not yet identified by name, died.

No officers were injured, the spokesperson explained.

"Right now we're conducting three independent investigations," the spokesperson told ABC-7. "The Internal Affairs Division will be conducting the shooting review, Crimes Against Persons will be conducting the criminal case, and the independent criminal investigation will be conducted by the Texas Rangers."

The spokesperson says no other information is currently available. He describes this as an isolated incident and says there is no danger to the public right now.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso County Sheriff's deputies working off-duty jobs as security guards at Cielo Vista Mall stopped 40-year-old Adan Gutierrez as he allegedly tried to steal from a jewelry store.

On Thursday, the jewelry store employees alerted the deputies that a man who was thought to have stolen from another business earlier in the day was spotted in their store.

"The male subject was observed stealing more than $9,000 worth of jewelry earlier that day," a EPCSO spokesperson explained.

Deputies were able to stop and detain Gutierrez before he left the area. They then turned him over to El Paso Police Department detectives.

Update: A spokesperson for the El Paso Fire Department confirms to ABC-7 that 16 adults and 4 children were displaced by the fire.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- At least one building was completely destroyed and several others affected early Monday morning after a condition 3 fire in East El Paso, according to the El Paso Fire Department.

The fire happened at 8500 Viscount Blvd. According to officials, the call came in at 12:17 a.m.

Fire dispatchers said the building was occupied at the time, but no injuries are currently being reported. In total, officials say 8 apartment units were affected by the fire.

The Red Cross will be assisting those who were impacted by the fire.

The fire has been put out and the Fire Marshal's office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.

Update (August 23, 2024): A court sentenced Wallace to 52 months in prison following his conviction for possessing a pipe bomb and ammunition.

"Upon questioning, he admitted to possessing a metal pipe containing gunpowder, which was later confirmed to be an operational pipe bomb," New Mexico court officials explained Friday.

Law enforcement officers seized the device, which was then sent to a bomb technician for analysis.

Because of his previous felony convictions, Wallace will be prohibited by federal law from handling or owning firearms and ammunition from now on.

"Upon his release from prison, Wallace will be subject to three years of supervised release," the court officials explained.

Update: ABC-7 has learned a man reportedly found with pipe bomb components near a church in Las Cruces has been released on a personal recognizance bond.

PR bonds are usually given to suspects not considered dangerous.

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- According to court documents newly obtained by ABC-7, a Dona Ana County Sheriff deputy found Nathan Wallace at a park next to Moongate Church just after midnight May 31.

In an interview with investigators, Wallace said he had traveled to the church to charge his laptop because he does not have electricity. When other deputies arrived, court documents state they found Wallace next to the church, allegedly placing pipe bomb parts in a backpack.

Deputies set up a perimeter around the area and called in the bomb team. A deputy assigned to the Dona Ana County Sheriff's Bomb Team reported seeing an eight-inch galvanized pipe with caps on both ends and a 1/8 inch hole at the scene. He also reported seeing a battery bridge, red and black multi meter device, rechargeable batteries, and black and red wires. The officer reported that based on his training and experience, he believed these pieces were part of an explosive device.

The first deputy on scene reported talking to Wallace and asking him what was in his backpack. The deputy says Wallace told him "it's not drugs, it's gun powder," according to court documents. During an interview with investigators, Wallace allegedly said the items were "randomly" placed in his backpack.

Deputies also say they found syringes they believed held heroin. During questioning, Wallace reportedly told investigators that the syringes belonged to him and that they contained methamphetamine.

Wallace is charged with Possession of an Explosive or Incendiary Device. The Sheriff's Office says investigators are currently comparing this case with the 2015 bombings of the Calvary Baptist Church and Holy Cross Catholic Church, and with the discovery of a bomb at First Presbyterian Church, all in Las Cruces. None of the cases have been solved.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A crash involving two cars caused major traffic backup for some time in West El Paso today.

The crash happened at Desert North and Transmountain around 2:30 PM today.

The main lane and shoulder were blocked, and because ongoing construction is severely limiting the number of lanes in that area, the crash caused a significant backup.

No one was injured in the crash.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- Paso Del Norte Fine Arts Academy received a verbal threat from a student. Officials at the school found "no evidence of a viable threat to students of the campus."

The school is run by Socorro ISD and is located south of Edgemere Boulevard in Far East El Paso.

SUNLAND PARK, New Mexico (KVIA) -- A Sunland Park Fire Department crew helped put out a fire at a commercial building on the 2400 block of Airport Road.

The crews put out the fire alongside the Dona Ana Fire Rescue team.

It happened at 11:39 AM, officials say.

No one was injured in the fire, according to Sunland Park Fire Department officials.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Dona Ana County Fire Marshals Office.

UPDATE, April 29: El Paso police said Thursday that 25–year-old Juan Angel Ramirez has been released from the hospital after receiving medical treatment following last week's deadly fight and was booked into the downtown jail.

Ramirez is being held without bond on a murder charge in the fatal shooting of 30–year-old Juan Carlos Castro along Paseo Alegre in far east El Paso.

UPDATE, April 26: The victim and suspect in a weekend deadly shooting stemming from a fight in far east El Paso were identified by police on Monday as new details emerged from witnesses to ABC-7 about what unfolded.

Police said 25–year-old Juan Angel Ramirez will be charged with the murder of 30–year-old Juan Carlos Castro. Ramirez was arrested at a nearby church where he fled following the shooting early Sunday, authorities indicated.

Residents along Paseo Alegre, where police had responded to a report of a fight, told ABC-7 that it all stemmed from Ramirez punching his girlfriend in the face and her summoning Castro, the father of her child, to her aid. Neighbors said Ramirez pulled out a gun and shot Castro during an altercation between the two men in the street.

Police would only say the fight involved several people and did not immediately confirm the additional details provided by witnesses.

ORIGINAL REPORT, April 25: EL PASO, Texas -- A 30-year-old man was shot and killed early Sunday in far east El Paso during an apparent fight and police said they had a suspect in custody for the city's latest homicide.

The shooting occurred in the 12300 block of Paseo Alegre and Paseo Grande around 3 a.m., when authorities said they received a report of a fight with weapons.

When officers arrived, police said the victim was found suffering from serious injuries and later died after being rushed to a local hospital.

Neither the identity of the victim or the suspect were released by police.

Detectives said the crime scene had expanded as part of their investigation, as they cordoned off a larger area of the neighborhood to scour for evidence.

Update: EPISD Police said there were some, cross-country students that were on campus at that time of the shooting.

ABC-7 spoke with team member, Sienna Zarate who said before their usual run they started with workouts on the field. That's when she heard two shots ring out. 

"At that moment, my coach recognized that it was a gunshot, and he told all of us to go into our locker room," said Zarate. "For me, there wasn't an initial panic that set in, but when we were going to the locker room, people started running. So of course some people had some panic."

Lights off and locked inside the locker room for safety, she said she was happy with how things played out and said things could have gone differently. 

"I thought given the situation, my coach handled it very, very well, like he was immediately concerned with our safety," she said.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A man in his 50s is dead following a shooting involving school district police officer at Franklin High School.

El Paso Independent School District officials say that the officer was investigating an incident, Thursday morning.

They also state that the incident does not involve any students.

Classes at Franklin have been canceled for the remainder of the day.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- ABC-7 is looking into a power outage that happened earlier this month that caused several hundred customers in West El Paso to lose power for several hours.

Now some impacted residents are saying that their food went bad during the outage.

ABC-7 is looking into the potential recourses those customers could take to get compensation for their lost property.

Today there was another outage in West El Paso. Power has returned to the 3,000+ customers in El Paso who had been without electricity for a time this afternoon.

ODESSA, Texas (KVIA) -- A small plane crashed into power lines, traveling an entire block before slamming into Dewey's Breakfast Shop near 68th and Alderfer Avenue.

Two people died in the crash, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Odessa Fire Rescue arrived to heavy smoke and a fire at the business and some nearby mobile homes, according to city officials.

Crews have not yet identified the aircraft and details about the people who were on board are limited.

Emergency crews rushed one woman who was inside a burning building nearby to the hospital.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) - The El Paso Fire Department's Combine Search and Rescue team responded to two separate reports of hikers in need of assistance Sunday afternoon.

The first rescue was received by COMSAR at about 1:29 p.m. at the 1,000 Steps Trail on N. Stanton.

El Paso Fire reports one patient was brought down the mountain with minor injuries and taken to an area hospital for medical treatment.

Then just before 2:30 p.m. a second hiker in need of help was received by El Paso Fire at 11055 Andrew Bárcena at Chuck Heinrich Park.

No word yet on any injuries at the Chuck Heinrich Park incident.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- At around 8:40 p.m., El Paso Fire Department crews were sent out to a rollover crash on Transmountain Rd.

The department first posted about the crash on their X account around 9:15 p.m.

El Paso Fire Dispatch said crews are currently treating injuries and checking nine patients at the scene. An ambulance is on the way to provide more aid and bring any injured parties to the hospital.

FABENS, Texas (KVIA) -- The El Paso County Sheriff's Office Fugitive Apprehension Unit took 25-year-old Jimmy Mack Rodriguez into custody this week.

Rodriguez was wanted on multiple counts, including Assault Family/Household W/Previous Convictions, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Burglary of Habitation, Aggravated Assault W/Deadly Weapon, Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child, Sexual Assault of a Child II CT, Injury to a Child/Elderly, and Evading Arrest W/Vehicle.

Deputies took Rodriguez into custody at the 700 block of North Fabens on August 13, 2024 without incident. They then booked him into the El Paso County Jail without bond.

Multiple people are now facing federal charges in connection with the ketamine death of "Friends" star Matthew Perry, ABC News has learned.

The arrests were made in an early morning operation Thursday, according to law enforcement sources.

The charges will be announced at a news briefing later on Thursday with the U.S. attorney for Los Angeles and the DEA administrator.

Perry died on Oct. 28, 2023, at the age of 54. He was discovered unresponsive in a jacuzzi at his Los Angeles home, police said. An autopsy report revealed he died from the acute effects of ketamine.

Perry had high levels of ketamine in his blood, likely lapsed into unconsciousness and then went underwater, according to the autopsy report.

He was reported to have been receiving ketamine infusions for depression and anxiety, with the most recent therapy 1 1/2 weeks before death, according to the autopsy report. Though the medical examiner wrote that the ketamine in his system at death could not have been from that infusion therapy, as ketamine's half-life is 3 to 4 hours or less. His method of intake was listed in the report as unknown.

The autopsy report also listed drowning, coronary artery disease and buprenorphine effects as contributing factors not related to the immediate cause of death. The manner of death was ruled an accident.

Prescription drugs and loose pills were found at his home, but nothing near where he was found dead, according to the autopsy report.

Multiple agencies have been investigating in the months since his death, including the Los Angeles Police Department, Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Postal Service and the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Perry was known for playing Chandler Bing on the hit sitcom "Friends," which ran from 1994 to 2004.

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico (KVIA) -- 76-year-old Chaparral resident Frederick Urban was charged with illegally stockpiling firearms and explosives in Las Cruces Monday.

Urban appeared before a federal judge and will remain in jail until a detention hearing.

Court documents allege that Urban, a previously convicted felon, according to state officials, owned numerous firearms. When ATF agents, New Mexico State Police, and El Paso Police officers executed the federal search warrant on Saturday of Urban's house, they found guns, about 100,000 rounds of ammunition, magazines, gunpowder, the explosive triacetone triperoxide, homemade detonators, blasting caps, and other homemade bomb components, according to New Mexico officials.

Urban could face up to 15 years in prison if convicted.

ABC-7 spoke to neighbors in the area, with many telling us they never expected this to happen in their neighborhood.

One neighbor who did not wish to be identified told ABC-7 that surrounding neighbors should have been evacuated considering everything authorities found.

"That much rounds, the explosives that were found. Why take the chance with the people living around here? Why not just evacuate us? And they didn't do it? I mean, nobody talked to us. Nobody said anything to us," said the neighbor.

Update (August 9, 2024): El Paso Police have arrested 21-year-old Richard Nunez and charged him with one count of collision involving death, and two counts of collision involving serious bodily injury.

Officer booked him into the Downtown Jail on August 5, 2024 and he remains in custody on a $50,000 bond.

Update: EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- The driver of a 2015 Ford Mustang fled the scene after crashing into two-vehicles, killing one woman and injuring two others, according to police investigators.

The driver of a Dodge Charger pulled over to the center median (out of traffic) to change a flat tire. One of the male pedestrians assisted with changing the tire, while others were warning oncoming traffic.

The driver of a 2010 Acura noticed the pedestrians, who slowed down to warn other drivers and make it safer for pedestrians.

It was then, a Ford Mustang traveling in the same lane, swerved left and entered the center median to avoid hitting the Acura. The Mustang hit the Charger and three of the pedestrians.

The Mustang re-entered traffic and struck a Volkswagen Jetta. The Mustang continued going eastbound on I-10 and became disabled on the right-hand shoulder by the Porfirio Diaz overpass. The driver fled on foot, leaving the mustang behind.

38-year-old, Perla Vasquez of Clint died at the scene. 21-year-old, Saul Sigala Jr. and 15-year-old, Donovan Sigala sustained serious leg injuries and were taken to University Medical Center. The other two pedestrians were unharmed.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- El Paso Police confirmed one person died following a serious two-vehicle crash Saturday night. Additionally, two others were rushed University Medical Center.

According to fire dispatch officials, one person suffered serious injuries and the other suffered minor injuries.

The crash happened on I-10 East at Porfirio Diaz.

All eastbound lanes are closed at this time. Backup extends to I-10 East and Executive.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) -- A crash along Loop 375 and mile marker 24 has shut down traffic according to El Paso Police.

Drivers are advised to exit at Railroad while first responders work on the collision that involves a pedestrian.

It happened at 12:48 p.m. and police say there is no other information at this time.
